What went into making this mix?

This mix is a collection of tunes that had a big influence on me growing up.  It was challenging narrowing so much music down to just an hours worth of tunes.  The process took me the better part of two months (because I’m a headcase when it comes to music.)  A lot of these bring up memories of riding the bus or walking to and from school, thinking of the past weekends rave, and dreaming of the next weekend.  I hope you enjoy this window into my early electronic music world.

Whats on the Horizon For you?

Sole Rehab has events locked in for – Saturday September 29th, Saturday October 27th, and Saturday November 24th (our 3 year anniversary).  We are also rapidly filling our schedule for 2019!

Tom DeBlases’ love for electronic music runs deep.  It started at a very early age when listening to Hearts of Space, the weekly radio show, with his mom on Sunday evenings. He attended his first rave in 1996 and from that point on, he was touched by fire and started toying around with DJ equipment in the late 90s. He started throwing events in 2006 with other collaborators, and began his first solo event series in 2008. He currently throws a queer focused, monthly event called Sole Rehab that happens in Rochester, New York. He is both a resident DJ and promoter. Tom eats, sleeps, and breaths electronic music. He encourages anyone who is interested, to get involved with the scene, in whatever capacity they have.
