What went into making this mix?
When you contacted me about doing the mix going into Memorial Weekend, there were two things that came to mind. First, Memorial Weekend means Paxahau’s Movement festival takes over Detroit and people from all over the world fill the streets and dance floors, so I wanted to do a mix that was comprised of the artists and friends that made this weekend possible. Second, Memorial Weekend also is the official start of BBQ and Cookout season. So the mix is stocked with all Detroit artists… home cooking, if you will. So heat up that grill and or dance floor and get down to this Belle Isle BBQ Mix! I hope you all enjoy listening to it as much as I did making it!
What is new on the horizon for you?
I’ve been upgrading my studio and working on some new projects as well as putting out two EP’s that should be out the end of summer. Also I have quite a bit of traveling planned. Other than that, it’s just business as usual for me… Keep buying records!
