What went into making this mix? Any special inspiration or process?
I rarely get requests from New York area and feel truly honored to be invited to the show. From a ‘Young’ Belgian vinyl-lover and DJ’s perspective. New York screams Strictly Rhythm, Nervous Records, MAW, Todd Edwards… These labels and artists are still inspiring me today as I still discover tracks I’ve never heard before. You can call the mix a little tribute or appreciation for the music, blended with Melodymathics favorites and fresh gems for the audience to discover.
What is new on the horizon for yourself and the label?
My own label is finally getting the sort of recognition I expected from day one, hahahaha. So i’m very delighted to see that evolving well this year, with 2 more vinyl releases scheduled Q2 & Q3 of 2018. But to not run ahead to fast, there’s my “Borderline EP” on Kerri Chandler’s label which’s out now on Traxsource. Melodymathics released Shake & Stir EP on 12” vinyl feat. Demuir, Snazzy Trax, The Organ Grinder and one of my own favorite tracks called Dancin’. A rather more DJ friendly disco flavored record. So please go check that out !

The Melodymann is a Belgian performer/producer . With dozens of releases on several quality house labels and his productions getting more recognition from all over the world. He also caught the attention of Kerri Chandler’s Madhouse Records and started 2018 with a bomb!
His DJ sets are an extension of his energetic soul. Blending uplifting beats with a nostalgic feeling. He brings a melodious new sound influenced by funk, disco and jazz that originated throughout the years. Although he cannot be put in a particular class, with his deep and sexy tunes, he fully joins today’s club sound. At a young age music was his passion. As a teenager he became fascinated with Detroit’s music which made him start producing and Dj’ing. He takes the listener on a musical journey on the dance-floor. Standing still is no option when the Melodymann occupies his place behind the deck
