OVERVIEW

Signal > Noise v2.0: the sixth update in Rochester’s series of intimate gatherings featuring DJs and artists at the forefront of house and techno.

In the early 90s, crews in Detroit were throwing now-legendary underground parties in abandoned auto factories and dilapidated warehouses. At these events, Claude Young could often be found behind the decks conjuring the ideal soundtrack for a dystopian, sci-fi underworld. Since then, he has ceaselessly pursued his passion to create and disseminate an eternally futuristic, yet timeless music. Machine music at times harsh, savage, soulful and elegant.

From his prolific, highly-acclaimed productions on classic labels such as 7th City, Djax-Up-Beats, Frictional, and Axis, to his undisputed worldwide reputation as an influential DJ of the highest order, Claude Young is a figure synonymous with techno. Few DJs approach his level of technical skill. His vast knowledge of music and command of the dance-floor are those of a true veteran.

An unprecedented Western New York appearance, we’re excited and humbled to welcome Claude Young to Rochester for an unforgettable 6 HOUR DJ SET. Join the Signal > Noise family for this milestone event as we celebrate one whole year of transcendent dance-floor adventures, and expect no less than the best that techno has to offer.
