THE BLACK MADONNA is a name that has everyone talking lately. Known for bringing a straight up party vibe to the dance floor, her DJ sets are a trainspotter’s dream: house, techno, disco; mixing the cutting edge with classic sounds and rare oddities.

From humble roots in the Midwest rave scene, the Black Madonna’s career as DJ and producer has climbed a steep trajectory. Now in the true home of house music, Chicago, she’s a pillar of its dance music scene and holds court at the prestigious Smart Bar as both chief talent-buyer and a resident DJ alongside Derrick Carter. More recently, the outspoken Black Madonna has been spreading her infectious sound and positive, inclusive dance floor vision across the globe to places as revered as Berlin’s Panorama Bar.

One thing is certain: The Black Madonna is writing new pages in the Windy City’s dance music storybook as she carries the torch passed from its previous authors around the planet and back.
