Hailing from the unlikely techno oasis of Columbus, Ohio, Titonton Duvante has left an indelible mark on the world of techno and house music. Through productions on labels such as Metamorphic, Planet E, 7th City, Palette, God Particle and Residual (his own imprint), and his reputation as an energetic DJ who has played all around the world, Titonton is well-known and respected in the underground.

Titonton began making uniquely expressive, abstract techno tracks in the early 90’s characterized by jazzy, emotive chords, globular funk and expertly-programmed beats. His first record was released on Dan Curtin’s esteemed Metamorphic label in 1995 and became an instant classic. He immediately developed a cult following among the top tastemakers in Detroit and beyond which has grown ever since. Titonton currently curates a series of underground events in Columbus as part of the Midwest Fresh collective, maintaining the area’s status as a hub of fine underground dance music. As a DJ, Titonton’s infectiously high-energy turntablist skills and distinctive track selection win the crowd over time after time.
